Your daily tasks as a Service Center Technician at Eagle Transport Selma will be varied and engaging, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our fleet. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing DOT Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct thorough DOT inspections on our heavy-duty fleet vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance and safety. Execute essential maintenance tasks to keep our fleet in top condition.
- Maintaining a Clean and Organized Work Area: Uphold the cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas, including shop spaces and facility grounds. This includes managing recyclables, addressing fluid spills promptly, and ensuring the organized storage of tires and barrels.
- Managing Vehicle Fluids: Dispense fuel and other essential fluids to vehicles, ensuring proper levels and efficient operation.
- Fleet Management System Updates: Accurately complete required forms and input necessary information into our fleet management information system in a timely manner, maintaining precise records.
- Comprehensive Fleet Equipment Maintenance: Maintain a diverse range of fleet equipment, including cars, light trucks, class 8 trucks, and various trailers (petroleum, chemical, bulk, and flatbed).
- In-Service and Out-Service Equipment Handling: Prepare new fleet equipment for service, including decal installation, telematics system setups (cameras, tablets/HOS equipment, tire pressure monitoring), performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), and installing product pumps as needed (shaft driven, hydraulic, or pneumatic). Conversely, manage equipment being removed from service, which involves removing installed components, preparing units for sale, and completing necessary DOT repairs.
- Routine and Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, encompassing lubrication and oil changes, seat repairs, brake, wheel, tire, and battery services, and the replacement of belts, hoses, headlights, and other basic components.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Perform basic to intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical and electrical problems, ensuring efficient repairs and minimizing downtime.
Requirements to Join Eagle Transport Selma
