Join Western Distributing Transportation: Driver Requirements
To ensure the safety and efficiency of our operations, candidates for Western Distributing Transportation driving positions must meet the following essential requirements:
- Extensive OTR Driving Experience: A minimum of 3 years or 300,000 verifiable Over-The-Road (OTR) driving miles is required. Military driving experience may be considered as equivalent to mileage experience.
- Clean Driving Record & Safety Focus: Applicants must have a good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a strong commitment to safety.
- Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 25 years of age.
- Valid Class A CDL: A current and valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is mandatory.
- Reefer Experience Preferred: While not always required, experience with refrigerated trailers (reefer) is advantageous for certain positions.
- Chaining Capability: Drivers must be able to chain tires when necessary for winter driving conditions.
