The initial phase of this ambitious project is now complete, showcasing a striking visual change. The formerly drab grey exterior of the Buckley Transportation Center Lawrence MA has been replaced with a captivating blue façade. This bold color choice marks just the first of three key components designed to rebrand the building and inject energy into the surrounding streets. Architect Luke Laverty meticulously planned the color distribution to dynamically animate the structure, strategically intensifying the blue saturation at a prominent corner of a major intersection to draw attention and create a focal point.
The next stage of the revitalization will focus on improving the ground floor and bus waiting areas of the Buckley Transportation Center Lawrence MA. The goal is to cultivate a more welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for commuters and visitors utilizing the center’s services and amenities. Plans include the installation of a metal mesh scrim incorporating integrated signage, further directing attention to this important urban intersection. Adding another layer of artistic expression, Elevated Thought, a local community arts collective, will contribute a mural.
