Key Requirements for C&M Transport Drivers
To drive for C&M Transport, you must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), accompanied by a current medical card including the long form. Additionally, you’ll need to provide your vehicle registration and proof of an annual vehicle inspection. Beyond these essential documents, here are further points to consider as you prepare to join our team:
Communication and Connectivity
Cell Phone: Maintaining constant communication is vital in the transportation industry. Therefore, all drivers are required to have a cell phone and be reachable at all times while under dispatch with C&M Transport. This ensures seamless coordination and timely updates throughout your assignments.
Company Branding and Identification
Signs: To properly represent C&M Transport, company signs will be provided to you without any initial cost. This is contingent upon completing a 90-day probationary period with us. Should your association with C&M Transport conclude before this 90-day period, a fee of $150 (subject to change) will be deducted to cover the cost of these signs.
Health and Safety Compliance
Drug Screening: Safety is paramount at C&M Transport. As part of our pre-leasing process, you will need to undergo a drug screening at our designated facility. We will schedule this appointment for you. Furthermore, if needed, a DOT physical can also be completed at this time for a fee of $35 (subject to change). A deduction of $60 (subject to change) will be applied to a future settlement to cover the drug screening expenses.
Vehicle Safety Standards
Safety Equipment: Maintaining high safety standards for all vehicles is non-negotiable. We expect every vehicle to be equipped with essential safety equipment. This includes reflective triangles, flares, fire extinguishers, E-Trac bars, straps, and pads. Ensuring you have these items readily available is crucial for your safety and the safety of others on the road.
Onboarding and Training
Orientation: To effectively integrate new drivers into our operations, C&M Transport conducts a comprehensive one-day orientation. During this session, all critical information regarding our procedures, expectations, and company policies will be thoroughly reviewed. This orientation is scheduled to start early in the morning and conclude late in the afternoon, ensuring you are fully prepared for your role.
