Essential Experience and Qualifications
- Liquid Bulk Chemical Tank Trailer Experience: Applicants must possess a minimum of one year of recent, verifiable experience in handling and hauling liquid bulk chemical tank trailers. This experience is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of our specialized cargo.
- Age Requirement: Drivers must be at least 25 years of age due to insurance and safety regulations.
- Medical Certification: Candidates must undergo and pass a medical examination administered by a Dana Transportation-recognized physician. This certification ensures drivers are physically fit and qualified to operate commercial motor vehicles safely.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) with Endorsements: A valid CDL-A is mandatory, along with HazMat and Tank endorsements. Furthermore, applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of verifiable Over-The-Road (OTR) driving experience.
- Pump and Compressor Installation: Drivers are required to have or be capable of installing a pump and compressor on their tractor within the first 90 days of employment. This equipment is essential for handling bulk liquid transfers.

- Legal US Entry/Exit: Over-the-road drivers must be legally authorized to enter and exit the United States, typically requiring a valid US Passport or equivalent documentation.
Driving Record Standards
Dana Transportation places a high priority on safety, and therefore, maintains strict standards regarding driving records:
- Moving Violations: No more than two minor moving violations are permitted within the past 36 months.
- Serious Traffic Violations: Applicants must have no convictions for serious traffic violations within the past 36 months.
- Accidents: No more than one minor preventable commercial accident is allowed during the 36 months prior to application.
Substance and Criminal History
- Drug or Alcohol Convictions: Dana Transportation has a zero-tolerance policy; therefore, no drug or alcohol-related convictions are permitted.
