Since 1990, we have proudly served the residents of Floyd, Johnson, Magoffin, Martin, and Pike counties, ensuring everyone has access to essential services and destinations. Funded in part by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Office of Transportation Delivery and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), SVTS is committed to meeting the diverse transportation needs of our community.

Demand-Response Public Transit

SVTS operates a demand-response public transit system, meaning we tailor our services to your specific needs. Simply schedule your ride in advance, and we will provide transportation within our service area. This flexible service is open to the public and designed to accommodate various transportation needs.

Medicaid Transportation

We are a registered Kentucky Medicaid transportation provider, ensuring access to healthcare appointments for Medicaid recipients. If you are a Medicaid member in our service area, you can rely on Valley Transportation Services for your medical transportation needs.

Intercity Transportation

Need to travel between counties? SVTS offers intercity transportation services to connect you across Floyd, Johnson, Magoffin, Martin, and Pike counties. This service expands your reach and provides access to regional destinations.

Dial-A-Ride Service

For even greater convenience, our Dial-A-Ride service is available twice a month in each county within Region 14. This service offers extended reach and access to destinations throughout the region. Click on your county below to find out the Dial-A-Ride day in your area:

Fares and Scheduling

Scheduling a Trip is Easy!

To schedule your ride, please call us at 1-800-444-RIDE (7433). Our scheduling hours are:

  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
  • Saturday: 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

Please note that normal scheduling services are typically unavailable on major holidays such as New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. However, urgent care transportation is available 24/7.

Valley Transportation Services is currently hiring dedicated Transit Drivers to join our team! We offer competitive benefits for eligible employees, including:
